Analysis and Testing Center

The analysis and testing center of School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University was established in 2003 with a total area of more than 300 square meters and 6 full-time staff, providing support for teaching and scientific research of the whole school as well as an open and shared scientific research platform for the school and society. The environmental detection instrument analysis platform boasts advanced detection instruments for analyzing the total amount and components of organic pollutants such as air, water and soil, and heavy metals, and joined the measurement system certification in January 2013. 

The center mainly includes an environmental pollutant testing platform, an environmental material testing platform, an environmental microorganism testing platform and an indoor air pollution testing laboratory. At present, it has more than 50 large-scale instruments, covering purging and trapping, preconcentration direct injection, triple four-bar gas quality and liquid quality, in-situ FTIR and UV and ICP emission spectroscopy, totally valued at over 20 million yuan.
